A 1966 Corvette Hardtop Lesson

The owner of a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette learned an important lesson about properly securing the removable hardtop. The driver had bolted the hardtop to the soft top cover instead of latching it correctly to the windshield header. While driving, wind caught the top, ripping it off and also blowing off the soft top tray.

The damaged car was taken to Automotive Enterprise for professional repair. The shop was asked to restore the Corvette to a stock appearance. The car had flared fenders from a previous modification, so the team used their original molds to repair the body damage and recreate the correct factory-style fenders.

Once the fiberglass repairs were completed, the car received a full paint job to restore a clean, uniform finish.
